Purpose: This initiative is intended to provide the means to compile illustrations and to ascertain the principles of successful partnerships between institutions of higher education and school districts. We plan to use a two-day seminar to encourage participant reflections on the process of partnership building. We hope to learn from reflections on successful collaborations. We hope we will all benefit from the experiences of the past years. This discussion may render suggestions for interested parties, i.e., teachers, administrators, teacher educators, NYSED, deans of education schools, and so on, for future collaboration in continuous teacher development.

We will convene this seminar in the summer of 2003. We are about to form the seminar groups of fewer than 5 model partnerships. If you know of a partnership that you would recommend be invited, please complete the nomination form below and return it to us by June 15, 2003.
